Learning With Your Inner Child
As I was taking a shower earlier today, I realized a concept. We are always learning something new every day, whether or not it's something that we already previously knew or something completely foreign to us altogether. Schools (outside of the otherwise narrative of control) was meant to help children explore the world in a way that helped them educate themselves with the guided help of teachers, counselors, parents and otherwise role modeled adults.
Depending on the people we had in our lives and how they reacted to us as children determines the kind of adults we are today. But honestly, who ever really truly "adults" once children are released from the structured homes of their parents when they are in the "real world"? At some point while we're children, there's the idea that we want to grow up to be like someone we looked up to...just to realize that when we get older, some of us will forget the people we wanted to grow up to be like amidst the hustle and bustle of the "real world".
Two things: (1) The real world is nothing more then the school of life teaching you how to play the game of life and (2) you are already the person you wanted to grow up to be like, you just don't realize it yet.
There was a video I saw earlier today that mentioned how adulting really doesn't exist because we are nothing more than older children who have an extensive background narrative to our lives that keep us from being the curious and playful children we were when we were younger. A similar approach I take to that notion is that being that we are older children, in the great playground of society, we are now the people we wanted to be when we were children. We should start to find our sovereignty in making the world up as we want to. 💚💚💚
