Three day reflection helping my friend care for her father.
Sitting and resting and admiring the man who she calls daddy. Because he chose to be her daddy o. He saw she needed a father and by damn he became that. She does not really even truly know who her father is. But she could care less because the man who took her and her older siblings in is her daddy O. He is so fricken cute. This time I met the man before the dementia.
❤️ 🩺 Happy Nurses Day to the hearts who never stop caring. ❤️🩺
To every nurse who has held a hand in fear. Stayed late when nobody saw. Missed holidays with family. Cried in silence after hard shifts. And still came back to care again. Thank you. 💙 Nursing is more than a career. It is compassion in motion. It is strength wrapped in kindness. It is showing up when people need hope the most. ✨ After 40 years as a nurse, I know this deeply. Nurses carry stories, burdens, victories, and heartbreak most people never see. Today we celebrate YOU. 🌷Your sacrifice.Your courage.Your servant heart. To every retired nurse, bedside nurse, caregiver, hospice nurse, home care nurse, and future nurse. You made a difference. You still do. ❤️ Happy Nurses Day from my heart to yours. 💐🩺💕
