Transfer Tracker: Where are men’s players headed for the 2026 season?
By Matt LangoneFebruary 9, 2026
As men’s college programs reload and prepare for the 2026 season, the transfer portal provides one avenue for roster growth.
By adding transfers, programs are able to find proven players who bring experience and other intangibles that incoming freshmen can’t yet provide, because they haven’t been at that level yet.
Players opt to transfer for various reasons. Maybe it’s a career reboot, maybe it was a coaching change at their previous school, or maybe it’s a decision based on academic interests.
To keep track of who’s going where across men’s soccer in the region, New England Soccer Journal has its transfer tracker for the 2026 season.
This story will be continuously updated as updates emerge. Coaches, players and others are welcome to submit transfer news via email to NESJ editor Matt Langone at [email protected].
In the meantime, here is a look at players on the move:
Central Connecticut State
Sophomore back Samuel Carrias has transferred to UNC Asheville. The 6-foot-1 Tahanto Regional High School and NEFC product played in 10 games (four starts) for CCSU in 2025. Asheville, a member of the Big South, finished the 2025 campaign at 7-7-2
Holy Cross
Sophomore midfielder Thomas Mancuso has transferred to Memphis. The 5-foot-9 Kansas native played in 15 games (14 starts) for Holy Cross in 2025 and tallied three goals and two assists. His eight points ranked second on the team.
New Hampshire
New Hampshire has been busy hitting the portal. The program announced the signing of junior midfielder Daniel Firek. from Lipscomb University. Firek started in all 17 games at Lipscomb in 2025 with two assists. His 1,485 minutes played were the most on the team. Prior to his time at Lipscomb, Firek was a member of the men’s soccer team at Akron in 2023 and 2024 as he played in 13 games with one goal and one assist.
Also arriving to UNH is sophomore forward David Davila, who transferred in from the University of Southern Indiana. Davila led Southern Indiana with six goals and 13 points during the 2025 season as he was named to the All-OVC Second Team. As a freshman in 2024, Davila was selected to the OVC All-Newcomer team as he tied for the team lead in points (eight), goals (three) and assists (two).
He Hampshire also announced the signing of graduate student midfielder Tyson Amoo-Mensah, who was a two-time captain at DePaul. He played in 37 games and 1,599 minutes during his time at DePaul with 13 starts and one goal.
Meanwhile, sophomore back Arian Recinos (Stamford, Conn.) is headed to Penn State, where he will play for new head coach Rob Dow, the former Vermont head coach. In 2024, Recinos was named to the America East All-Rookie Team. In 2025, he appeared in 17 games (11 starts). Recinos has appeared for the Guatemalan U-20 National Team.
Sophomore back Chris Glenney has transferred to Colgate. The 6-foot-1 Glenney appeared in just three games for UNH in 2025.
Rhode Island
Canadian freshman forward/midfielder Kyler Vojvodic has left Rhode Island for Penn State and its new head coach Dow. Vojvodi had a strong freshman campaign as he tied for the team-lead with five goals and 12 points in 2025 and was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team.
Graduate back Joel Bona has joined Hofstra. In 2025, he started 17 games for URI and led the team with 1,451 minutes.
Stonehill
Goalkeeper Tyler Sloan has transferred to Dayton. The 6-foot-2 redshirt junior from Tallahassee, Fla. joins a Dayton program that finished 8-2-8 in 2025 and lost in the Atlantic 10 championship game.
UMass
UMass announced the addition of Dylan Marco to the roster. Marco joins the Minutemen after spending three seasons at Division 3 York College of Pennsylvania. While with the Spartans, Marco started 48 of 54 games played, accumulating 4,381 minutes on the pitch. He tallied 17 points on six goals and five assists, and totaled 38 shots with 20 on frame. He was named the 2025 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Defensive Player of the Year and was an All-MAC Commonwealth First Team honoree.
Vermont
Talented midfielder Ryan Zellefrow, who was named All-America East First Team in 2025 as a sophomore, is headed to North Carolina. He tallied 10 points on three goals and four assists this past season and helped UVM win a historic national championship as a freshman in 2024.
It’s worth noting, once again, that his head coach at Vermont, Rob Dow, is now at Penn State. To that point, freshman defender Toby Grant is leaving UVM for Penn State after just one season in Burlington. Grant played in 18 games (12 starts) in 2025 and had two assists, and was named to the America East All-Rookie Team.
Vermont has added junior midfielder Ezra Widman from Xavier. He played in 15 games (10 starts) in 2025 for Xavier, and logged 770 minutes.
