Notifications here in Skool
One of our new members shared that notifications can be overwhelming here. Here are some tips! And @Rose Colbourne please come share your wisdom, too! Two version - for those who like to read, and those who like videos! Notifications can get overwhelming, so I wanted to share a simple strategy to manage them. Go to your profile Settings, click Communities, then Notifications, and choose exactly what you want to receive (daily notification emails, admin broadcasts, etc.). In your Notifications tab, you can also sort by mentions, comments on your posts, people you follow, and more. Inside each community, you can decide who to follow or unfollow so you only get notified about the people and posts that matter most to you. As a community owner, I focus on my own community first, plus key items like mentions, comments, and especially membership requests, and I ignore the rest so they don’t drain my energy. For those who are just members (not running communities), it’s even simpler: turn off or limit extra emails so Skool stays fun instead of overwhelming. If you have questions, ask in the community—our resident experts are here to help! I'm calling in the Heathers, too! @Heather Boers @Heather Di Rocco @Heather Wilson - wisdom and different strategies?

... And then post it here. (As long as it's not confidential or explicit! 😂) 𝗜 𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂! No explanation, or context, but do tag two other people in here. I just want to see life through your world for a second.👀

Risk It To Get The Biscuit 🍪
Maybe I have a little bit of an unfair advantage. Joining the Marine Corps when I was young came with the thought process "I don't care if I die". I think differently now that I have a son, but that core thought of not being afraid of things lead me to being willing to take chances. I literally had NEGATIVE money when I started my first business. My account was overdrawn to pay for the legal fees of setting up my LLC. I didn't care at all. With hard work and a little bit of luck, I ended up making a ton of money with my first company which was a logistics business. I was forced to sell that company due to COVID. I learned more from losing the company than I did from any of the successes. You have to take chances in order to succeed. The worst thing that happens is you start over with a clean slate and a lot more knowledge than the first time around. Now I own three companies, an online consulting course, a party rental company I run with my wife and son for fun and easy cash, and my full time consulting business where I travel the country and help corporate teams. I wouldn't be where I am today without the risks earlier in my life. Bet on yourself!

Starting a Business With $0 (Beginner Journey)
I’m starting to learn how to build a business with $0 investment. No ads. No paid tools. Just skills + action. What I’ve noticed so far: Most people don’t fail because of money They fail because they don’t pick one clear direction And they wait too long before starting Right now I’m focusing on keeping things simple: 👉 one skill 👉 one offer 👉 one platform I’m sharing this here as I build so I can learn from others too. If you were starting from zero today, what would you focus on first?
