💣 Bomb Recovery: Let’s Fix That Joke
[Constructive Feedback Thread] We’ve all been there...You thought the joke would hit. You believed in it. You stepped on stage… And then: silence. 😶 Welcome to Bomb Recovery—where jokes that didn’t land get a second chance. 🎤 Here’s what to do: 1. Post a joke, bit, or premise that bombed (on stage, online, in your head—doesn’t matter) 2. Give us a little context: Where did you try it? What was the setup? 3. Ask for help: Do you need new tags? A better angle? Shorter setup? 4. Be brave, not precious—this is how real comics grow. 💪 🛠️ What you'll get: - Friendly, punch-up-focused feedback - New directions to try the bit again - Solidarity from comics who’ve also eaten it on stage - A chance to turn a flop into fire 🔥 ✍️ Example: Joke: "I bought a weighted blanket for anxiety. Now I have anxiety and back problems. "Tried at: Small open mic, didn’t get a single laugh. Need help with: Is the setup too long? Is the angle too familiar? 💡 Remember: If you’re not bombing sometimes, you’re not pushing hard enough. Drop your bombed material below 👇Let’s fix it, punch it up, and help it rise from the ashes like a Phoenix with a punchline 🐣🔥
