Ascending Heart Meditation
Id like to share a meditation that Ive been practicing and refining for the last 10 years or so.
First get into a seated position or lay on your back. Close your eyes and place your tongue to the roof of your mouth near the back of your teeth at the front of your mouth. Next focus on the weight of gravity then flip it to the ascending energy, you just want the gentle rising energy not a over powered rising so as soon as you feel the flip in gravity that’s the sensation that is the energy signature that you want to hold onto, so focus on the gentle ascension. Now whenever thoughts or physical tension arise you want to feel where it’s located (for example if you have a thought, it will most likely be located within your mind, but if you have tension, it can be located anywhere throughout your entire body) you want to put the weight of gravity onto it and then flip it and sit with the gentle ascending energy. Do this over and over until energy begins to arise from your sternum It will be very pleasant. Then shift your focus to the energy coming from that area and sit with it only using the gravity flip technique when you need to quiet your thoughts from that point on so that you can keep your focus on that energy in the center of your chest.
I decided to share that because I see a lot of people mentioning the monkey mind and how to quiet it. This is the way I do it and hopefully it will work for someone else out there as well. I have experienced profound spontaneous visions, and the sensations of levitation while practicing this so if that occurs for you I believe it is a normal process of tuning to that heart space energy.
