Garden Pests
Hello, Gatherers
I know we are extremely happy that for some of us we are entering our gardening season, with that said this month watch out for Aphids, Flea Beatles and Slugs in your garden. Ensure to always play detective and look over plant leaves top and bottom to ensure they are not affected.
Aphids/ they suck the sap of plants and target tender seedlings the most, see first image to know what they look like.
Flea Beatles/they are small dark jumping little critters that chew small, tiny holes on leaves, see second image to know what they look like.
Slugs/ these nasty looking things are active right now in the spring, they leave a slimy trail and cause nasty holes in leaves, see image 3 for to see what they look like when I spot these I grab a small bowl put some beer in the bowl and place it in the middle of my raised bed, problem solved.
Ensure always to stay on the lookout for these annoying critters!
