Before We Start Weekly Challenges…
I’m planning to introduce weekly drawing and tattoo design challenges to the community, but before we jump in, I’d like to get a feel for everyone’s current level and interests. Drop a sketch, tattoo design, study, or work in progress in the comments and let us know: • How long you’ve been drawing or tattooing• What style interests you most• What you feel most confident with• What you currently struggle with This isn’t a competition and there’s no judgment. The goal is to see where everyone is at so I can create challenges that are actually useful, enjoyable, and appropriate for the community. Whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been tattooing for years, I’d love to see your work. Once we’ve got a good overview of the community, I’ll put together our first Weekly Challenge

English first · Español abajo --- Welcome. If you're here, you probably already draw… But your designs don’t always flow, read well, or feel solid on skin. That’s exactly what this community fixes. --- ## 🧠 What you’ll learn here I’ve been tattooing for 30 years, and this is the system I use every day: • How to build tattoo designs that actually flow • How to fix your own mistakes (this is key) • How to think like a tattoo artist — not just draw • How to create designs that work on real skin No fluff. Just what actually works. --- ## 🧭 How this is structured This is not random content. Everything is organized so you can improve step by step: ### 1. Fundamentals Composition, sketching, value and structure 👉 This is where most people fail --- ### 2. Application You’ll apply those fundamentals to real subjects: • Snakes (flow, movement, structure) • Skulls • Portrait basics 👉 This is where things start to click --- ### 3. Full Projects (Advanced) Complete tattoo designs from start to finish: • Composition • Background • Shading • Final polish 👉 This is where everything connects --- ## 📌 What to do now 1. Start with Fundamentals 2. Apply it (don’t just watch) 3. Move into Application 4. Post your work for feedback --- ## ⚠️ Important Watching is not enough. If you don’t apply → nothing changes. --- ## 🔥 Final thing Most artists stay stuck because they draw randomly. Here, you’ll learn how to build designs properly from the ground up. --- Videos include English & Spanish subtitles. --- --- --- Bienvenido.

Late night sketching 💡
Found this little book light the other day and I’m honestly loving it. I tend to do a lot of sketching late at night in bed, but turning on a lamp isn’t exactly appreciated by my girlfriend at 1 a.m. 😅 This thing clips onto the sketchbook, gives me just enough light to draw, and lets me keep working on ideas without lighting up the whole room. Currently working on this dark fantasy character. Still very rough, but I’m enjoying where it’s heading. Anyone else have a late-night sketching setup? Drop a photo of your workspace or latest sketch below.

Trusting the process. Almost there.
One thing this piece keeps reminding me: start with the big shapes and let the small details come later. It’s easy to get lost in the texture, but the overall structure is what makes it work
