The Future of Sorensen Tattoo Sketchbook
⬇️ español más abajo ⬇️ Hey everyone, I want to share something about the future of Sorensen Tattoo Sketchbook. When I started this community, the idea was simply to create a place where we could share knowledge, sketches, ideas and grow together. But over the last few months, the Sketchbook has grown quite a bit. We now have the Basic Foundations lessons, weekly challenges, live sessions, new tutorials and resources, and of course the Black Book, which is continuing to grow with new material. And there is a lot more I want to build. I’ve realised that creating all of this, maintaining it and constantly working on new content takes a lot more time than I originally expected. And honestly, I really want to continue. I don’t want the Sketchbook to become something I have to stop doing because I can’t dedicate the time it deserves. So I’m looking at introducing a paid element to the community. I’m still working out exactly what that will look like — whether it will be a freemium model, different levels of access, or eventually a subscription. The important thing for me is that there will still be a way for people to be part of the community without making it feel like everything suddenly becomes locked behind a paywall. I’ll explain the different options once I’ve worked them out properly. This isn’t about turning the Sketchbook into a business for the sake of it. It’s about making it sustainable so I can keep putting the time, knowledge and experience into building something that I genuinely believe can be valuable for tattoo artists. Thanks to everyone who is participating, sharing work, asking questions and helping make this place what it is. This is just the beginning.

Cones are fun when your initial already has one. I’m a week into learning so be nice but my shading for these smaller ones are hard. I’m using an 5RL, Advice please?

Low season shop challenge
We all know that summer is slow season for some of us so Today we had a little challenge in the shop — a completely random subject, with no planning beforehand. Somehow, the random combination ended up being a moth, skull and dagger… 😄 This is what I came up with. I really enjoyed the exercise because you have to stop overthinking and just make the elements work together as a composition. It’s also a good reminder that sometimes the best ideas come from limitations and a bit of randomness. What would you have done with moth + skull + dagger? 🦋💀🗡️ Feel free to share your version or sketches below!
