Secrets of NCAAD1 Putting | POD2: Chris from the Car
It’s time to talk putting. I believe modern putting instruction has gone backwards in a lot of ways. We have so much to learn about the traditions of how putting was learned. And even more surprisingly, we actually don’t even listen to legends of the game these days. Tiger Woods, Bob Rotella, Ben Crenshaw, Jack Nicklaus, in a lot of ways have been ignored. Stats, block putting and tech do not predict and lead us to world class putting on a Sunday. It’s a small part of a much more complex puzzle. This podcast reaches into the structure I built myself to become an elite putter. These are the keys that got me to NCAAD1. Arnold Palmer said, build a system, and stick to it: it’s better than any world class system if you are consistent. Developing our own style with the influence of experts / and understanding how the greats worked on putting is my practice philosophy. More than that, I’m hoping we can engage in the idea of working on our putting. We see countless students just want to go to the lesson tee. When in reality, we know 50% of game improvement happens on the putting green (it’s math bro!). I hope you enjoy. I plan to come up with a more detailed guide in the future that will be easy to follow, and test your abilities. -Chris
