So what do I mean when I say Somatic Pleasure?
Honestly, Iβm not trying to make it more complicated than it needs to be.
For me, somatics is really about learning to notice that your body is one complete, living ecosystem. Not mind over here, body over there, emotions somewhere in the middle, and then we try to sort it all out later.
Your body is taking in information all the time. Breath. Temperature. Pressure. Tension. The room youβre in. The people around you. The thing that makes your stomach tighten. The thing that makes you exhale.
And pleasure is learning what brings you more aliveness, more clarity, more connection, more choice.
Put them together and you get this: pay attention to sensation. Your breath. Your heartbeat. The knot in your gut. The warmth in your hands.
The YES & The NO
Then use that information to live better. π₯ Thatβs really the mashup. Paying attention to sensationβ¦ and then learning how to work with what your body is already telling you.
So Iβm curious, what is your body trying to tell you lately that you may have been too busy to hear?
Bonus: Try this: hold any object for 30 seconds. Feel its weight, temperature, and texture. No story. Just sensation.
What did you notice?
