I was highly active in this group early on until my job situation changed and now I've sort of gone dark these past two months. Not by choice, it's just my current work situation, which I am hoping will change by the end of the year.
I hosted the Society - After Hours livestream calls for a few months in the spring and summer, which were a blast every week. I love cooking, working out, reading about history, and road tripping throughout the country. Aside from my current truck driving gig, I work part time for a nonprofit I started where we basically fight corrupt politicians on the local, county and state level to help people who can't defend themselves.
I am a libertarian through and through, believing in free minds and free markets. I love classic and silent films, astronomy, and I collect Transformers. I was a musician in Chicago for 20+ years and during the latter half of that, did political television and radio for ten years providing a much needed libertarian voice in a sea of nonsense from the other two (they're really the same) parties.
In the summer I wear linen, and in the winter I wear wool and corduroy! I love layering stuff, and I am just starting to figure out my personal style in my mid 40s.
Scott was such a positive influence in starting the group, and was shocked to learn of his passing. I helped him with the vectored images that he used to make the wax stamp and lapel pins, of which I proudly own one of, and I will greatly miss him.
I'll do my best to be active in this group as I once was, but have mercy on this poor chap who's work schedule has not been kind to him these past few months. Looking forward to seeing all your great outfits and hearing all your life stories.
