Most productivity advice assumes one thing:
That if youâre not consistent, youâre not trying hard enough.
For ADHD brains, thatâs not true.
Inconsistency isnât a motivation problem.
Itâs a capacity problem.
When your nervous system feels under pressure, unsafe, or overloaded, your brain will:
â Resist
â Shut down
â Avoid
â Or wait for adrenaline to kick in
Thatâs not laziness.
Thatâs self-protection.
Real productivity doesnât come from pushing harder.
It comes from creating enough internal safety to stay online.
This week, donât ask:
âHow do I force myself to do more?â
Ask:
âWhat would increase my capacity to show up calmly and consistently?â
Thatâs where sustainable momentum begins.
