These 5 tips are essential to being a successful artist in this new landscape of music. 1. Drop your music: ain't no sense in really holding your music hostage cause if you really want people to hear your music you gotta have a place for them to hear your music! So drop that song, drop that project or drop that video... Whatever you got just put it out. 2. Content: instead of just posting about how you drop the video or a song make content around your music that people can engage with. Maybe a short vlog, posting clIps from your interviews, post some dope professional photos. Anything other than just a mixtape cover 3. Music Conferences
Don't go to music conferences with the expectation of someone putting you on. The panelists are there to expand their brand, some of them are paid. So often they will be nice to you. As great as that environment is, they have their own focusses and objectives. I'm not saying you can't build a relationship with the panelists, but the panelists aren't there for you. Instead, your goal should be to network with the people that go to the conference. and keep in touch with them. I can guarantee you a few of those people will go on t do major things. Keep in contact, help them out when and where you can and that will lead to your own expansion. You go to these conferences, meetups etc, and they tell you to network, but they don't always or if ever tell you how to do that. The reason is because the road to get anywhere, is different for everybody. And what works for one person may not work for another person. But if you keep in mind where the real value of music conferences are, then you will win
