Slow Art Club Session 🩵 is happening in 21 days
Goodbye Slow Art Club šŸ’“
Hi everyone! šŸ’“ I’ve made the difficult decision to cancel the Slow Art Club. Being another online interface that actually ended up costing me money ($12/month) (I thought it was free oops šŸ˜…) plus constantly creating posts and engagement, planning the monthly creative workshops, and sending lots of social media reminders, I’ve realized this just isn’t something I can commit to right now. Honestly, my heart really needs in-person connection right now. I want to focus more on attending creative community through in-person events and connecting with other women and moms face-to-face right now, instead of trying to maintain an online community. Thank you so much for being here and supporting this little space. I’m so grateful for everyone who joined and created alongside me. I’ll absolutely be creating again in the future šŸ’“ love you all!
Friday Accountability Check In <3
Start by letting go of the need to make something ā€œgoodā€ and instead focus on making something honest this month. If your mind had no filter, what would it express right now? Let this be an exploration. Create something that feels a little unpolished, maybe even ugly because that’s often where the realness lives. You don’t need a clear idea, just a willingness to begin. To get started with this month's theme..... I CHALLENGE you: Set a timer for five minutes, move your hand, and let whatever wants to come through! Post a pic below of your 5 minute timer brain dump!

Monthly Theme & Challenge
This month's theme: Brain Nudity!!! How can you get 5% more real with what you want to share creatively? Monthly Challenge: Post your art publicly (it doesn't have to be this art.) What new ways can you share that feels good and like you're pushing your (SAFE) comfort zone! Xox Hope to see you next month!

Monthly Theme & Challenge
Slow Art Club Session #2 REPLAY - Vulnerability & Art Making
Tonight we discussed vulnerability in the art making practice. I recently heard that making art was like "brain nudity." This concept made me laugh and had me thinking, making art really is the act of showing your inner most thoughts, your minds workings, and almost gives the feeling of your mind being nude! The theme for this month's art project is "brain nudity" if you were to share your brain what would it look like? If your inner world had a visual language, what would it look like? Colours, textures, chaos, softness, symbols, what’s actually in there beneath the surface? What parts of your mind do you usually keep hidden? Not to fix or judge, just to witness. What feels ā€œtoo much,ā€ ā€œtoo messy,ā€ or ā€œtoo honestā€ to show? The monthly challenge: Can you post your art publicly in some form? Whatever that means for you. sharing your work with a new friend, or a new platform. What would it look like to show just 5% more of your real inner world?
