My Wine Learning Lab
It’s funny, before a trip last year to Napa, I was all over the place in terms of learning and appreciation.Since finding Slik and the community, I am much more focused on what I enjoy as well as appreciate.I try to use a laminated Slik blind tasting guide if not in my hand, it’s in my head. The wine aroma chart is great, has to buy it.Using the Slik classroom courses in conjunction with Wine Folly has just made learning so much fun.A copy of Meditations makes it an even deeper dive on the philosophical uses and benefits of wine.Ancients taught against sloth and bad use of good things as too much of anything is bad, example air or water. We all are part of each other and this world.Th complexity of wine, growth, types, soils, countries can bring us all together. My favorite evenings are sitting with good friends, good wine and conversation.Balance is the key and the briefness and appreciation of life and all our people in it.Seneca said to be friends with the dead as we are pretty much all the same, now and 5000 years ago. From hieroglyphs to emojis 🤣🥰🍕🍉🍷🍷🍷we still all love, live, the same but with different means to do so.
Seneca also does state in a brief section that we should, on some occasions, party and get drunk and act “insane” as he puts it. He recognizes the need of simply having a good time but of course in strict moderation.
Enjoy and learn everyone as I expect to from all of you.❤️❤️❤️
