Hey, hey everyone, welcome to another week here at School Events Daily, and I'm jumping in today to just give you a quick catch up with what's going on and things that you need to know.
So I thought I'd just cover off some events that we have coming up this week because we've got some pretty cool ones, but I'm highlighting these ones, and this was a random pick, by the way. I have my little notes here.
So first one is Truth About Your Money with Des Dreckett and Lion Flood, because Lion's going to share how he went from zero to his first $1,000 month in school. Basically, learn the practical steps to get your community monetized faster. From personal experience, I wish I had met these guys a lot earlier on in my journey in school because my first community I didn't really manage to monetize. So I would recommend that you listen into these guys if you haven't monetized yet, or if you are just starting to monetize.
The next event I want to talk about is one by Katinka, and it's her Get Out of Self-Doubt. I think we all struggle with that from time to time if we are totally honest. This will be on Tuesday, June 9th at 12:00 PM Eastern time. It's a free workshop exploring the root causes of self-doubt, the neuroscience behind it. She is brilliant on this stuff and she'll give you simple exercises to break that loop. So that is definitely going to be an insider tip—worthwhile jumping in there as well.
I forgot to mention that Des and Lion are also appearing on Tuesday, June 9th at 5:00 PM GMT (London time).
Then we have the lovely Eileen McDonnell, Conversations That Convert, happening on Wednesday, June 10th at 11:00 AM Eastern time. Learn how to create clients without feeling like you are selling. Focus on language, subconscious programming, and improving your conversion rate. For all of us here on School, we are all selling one way or another. Eileen has an amazing way about her; she's very intuitive, can tune into you, spot your blocks, and help you shift them so that you can convert more confidently.
Next, and I love this one because it's something different, we have Deep Bonding with Animals with the lovely Reverend Dr. Rhonda, happening on Wednesday, June 10th at 2 PM Central. It's basically two animal communicators sharing ways to deepen your connection with pets through heart coherence and trust. There's also a free gift. If you would like to connect more with your pets, I would say this is going to be really, really interesting. I don't have any pets anymore, I don't know if I will in the future, but I am an animal lover and I think they are definitely onto something regarding how we can bond better with them.
Last but not least is an event with Isabelle, Cabernets Are Not All Green, on Thursday, June 11th. It's a wine tasting and sensory training to explore Cabernet Sauvignon flavors, origins, and how to describe them accurately. I would have been in there like a flash if this was five years ago—I was a great wine lover and live in a wine region—but I don't partake anymore due to health. She is an expert on all of this, and I think you would really enjoy it.
So that's a few, only a few of the events that are happening. If you want to find out more, just jump into the Events Classroom. That's all up to date with our premium members’ events.
That brings me to our premium members. Hi! I've sent you all a message this week just to keep you up to date with what's happening in the Weekly Bulletin. For anyone looking at joining premium this week so they can get into the Weekly Bulletin, that's great—welcome! We will surely get you in, but the deadlines have changed. So the deadline has just moved a day—Thursdays now instead of Friday—but all the times will stay the same.
It's still going to be New York time 5:00 PM, UK time 9:00 PM, and here in New Zealand Friday at 9:00 AM, give or take. As you know, we are bedding in this new automated system, which will make life a lot easier for you. It may seem a little chaotic at the moment, but trust me, it's a lot bumpier on my side, but we are getting there. We are ironing it all out, and it is going to improve the system a lot.
A quick reminder about your event titles: only 30 characters. Please stick to that—I'm sure you really don’t want me rearranging your title into something else. That has happened in the past and upset some people. There is no flexibility here; the limit is the limit. The same goes for the description. Even in the new template, the character limit is set (around 400–450). Some of you have gone over, even up to 800 characters, and I have to literally cut it in half. Make sure your first 300 characters cover the main points—these will appear in the calendar.
For those considering premium, one other perk is that I tag you in events matching your interests (personal development, coworking, networking, animals, music, creative arts) using the Google form you filled out. Premium members also get their events pinned in the calendar, appear in the Weekly Bulletin, and in the Events Classroom. All this for $5 a month, or $50 for the year. And a heads-up—the price may increase slightly when automation fully rolls out.
Finally, the Spin the Wheel winner! Last week, Michelle Sparks won and created a brilliant full-page advert. This week, the winner is Vanessa Escobar—well done! You’ll receive your prize shortly.
That's it from me for this morning. Have a great week, everyone, and thank you to those getting your events in early via the Event Registration Form in the Getting Started Classroom. We'll see you throughout the week.
Bye-bye.
