For the lie that āsomeone else will take care of it.ā
Rest in Peace, āSomeone Elseā
A Bagged & Tagged Reflection
There is a quiet phrase that weakens men without them realizing it:
āSomeone else will take care of it.ā
āThatās not my job.ā
āMy wife will handle that.ā
āIāll address that when the kids are older.ā
āIāll get serious about God later.ā
It doesnāt feel like rebellion.
It feels like delay.
But delay slowly becomes neglect, and neglect quietly erodes the man God called us to be.
So today we hold a funeral.
Not for a person.
For a mindset.
Rest in peace, āsomeone else.ā
Obedience is Proactive
Many people think obedience to God simply means avoiding sin.
But biblical obedience is active.
It means stepping forward when something needs to be done.
Even when itās inconvenient.
Even when you donāt feel like it.
Even when no one is watching.
That is discipline.
Discipline is doing what is required, not what is comfortable.
Scripture
Galatians 6:5
āFor each will have to bear his own load.ā
God gives every man responsibilities that no one else can carry.
Your faith.
Your character.
Your leadership.
And Scripture shows us the posture of a man who accepts that responsibility:
Joshua 24:15
āAs for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.ā
Joshua didnāt wait for someone else.
He stepped forward.
The Man Who Shows Up
A man of God doesnāt wait for perfect conditions.
He shows up.
He opens the Word when heās tired.
He disciplines his body when motivation fades.
He leads his family even when he feels inadequate.
Not because he wants to.
Because itās required.
Bagged & Tagged Truth
Being Tagged means you belong to Christ.
Being Bagged means you live above reproach.
But neither happens while waiting for someone else.
They happen when a man decides:
āIf God placed it in my life, I will carry it.ā
