Today we hold a funeral.. 😔
For the lie that “someone else will take care of it.” Rest in Peace, “Someone Else” A Bagged & Tagged Reflection There is a quiet phrase that weakens men without them realizing it: “Someone else will take care of it.” “That’s not my job.” “My wife will handle that.” “I’ll address that when the kids are older.” “I’ll get serious about God later.” It doesn’t feel like rebellion. It feels like delay. But delay slowly becomes neglect, and neglect quietly erodes the man God called us to be. So today we hold a funeral. Not for a person. For a mindset. Rest in peace, “someone else.” Obedience is Proactive Many people think obedience to God simply means avoiding sin. But biblical obedience is active. It means stepping forward when something needs to be done. Even when it’s inconvenient. Even when you don’t feel like it. Even when no one is watching. That is discipline. Discipline is doing what is required, not what is comfortable. Scripture Galatians 6:5 “For each will have to bear his own load.” God gives every man responsibilities that no one else can carry. Your faith. Your character. Your leadership. And Scripture shows us the posture of a man who accepts that responsibility: Joshua 24:15 “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua didn’t wait for someone else. He stepped forward. The Man Who Shows Up A man of God doesn’t wait for perfect conditions. He shows up. He opens the Word when he’s tired. He disciplines his body when motivation fades. He leads his family even when he feels inadequate. Not because he wants to. Because it’s required. Bagged & Tagged Truth Being Tagged means you belong to Christ. Being Bagged means you live above reproach. But neither happens while waiting for someone else. They happen when a man decides: “If God placed it in my life, I will carry it.” ****Reflection**** Where have you been waiting for “someone else”? And what responsibility will you step into today? Rest in peace, “someone else.”
