Skool news have arrived. as always, you can find all issues, including the latest, in the Vault. 🚀 Growth Boost now gets even Boostier 🤯
- you now have the option to increase Skool's share up to 70%. now, why would you want to do it? well, either because you want to grow really fast and/or you are not seeing GB benefits and want to outbid others.
MY TAKE:
- it could be useful in certain cases. for example, when you are just starting out a PAID community + you do not have ads budget (or don't know how to do them/do not want to learn) + want to grow fast. it could work pretty well. i would not keep it forever, but for a period of time - could be a solution.
- full transparency, i just increased this community GB to 50%. first, as an experiment to see if i get anything out it. second, because this community is not my main money making element of the business. Community Income Mastermind is - and GB is off there. i probably will not see much - cause it's freemium, and my efficiency score is probably low. but i like to experiment. will report back.
more on Growth Boost (if you are using it, make sure you have this):
- put social links in your Skool profile. i talk about it in the Hackathon lesson
- put your community link in your social profiles (all of them) - if Skool decides to create a dedicated ads campaign for you, it will use your socials
- look at your metrics and work on your metrics (you want to do it either way, GB or not): conversion rate, engagement rate, trial conversion rate, retention rate, price - pretty obvious. the higher those metrics are = higher your GB opportunity is. in the end, Skool wants to invest in communities that will bring them money back AS FAST AS POSSIBLE. so, if your metrics are not good ....
🙄 side comment - they are saying, they are not making profits. yes, right. i understand that. but they are getting their salary, cause they are funded by investors. majority of us are not. we are bootstrapping.
hence, we need to get to profit ASAP. so, pls do not compare your model with their model. also, whey they explain smth because they need to make money... it is hard for me to understand if it contradicts with me making money.
anyone wants to have a deeper discussion on GB, let me know and we'll organize it ⬇️
⭐️ REVIEWS
- reviews are going well. Skool is still doing A/B testing. but the decision is made to make them visible soon
- the final thing they are waiting for is setting up Moderating Team - to remove reviews that are not really reviews (last time they promised to make them all visible by end of August)
- if you don't have any reviews yet, there won't be a message saying "no reviews yet", cause they believe it can damage conversion.
⚠️ i am kinda worried now.. cause i have 1 review here (cause it's a free group with premium tier), and it will not look good. of course, i can invite more ppl to join premium and ask my premium members for reviews.
but for a while, it will look bad - 735 members and only 1 review 😳 maybe i should not have them at all, until i have a good number of premium members ?! what do you think?
🌎 GLOBALISATION:
- more languages: 🇹🇷Turkish, 🇯🇵Japanese, 🇻🇳 Vietnamese ... check them out. they stop introducing new languages for now, but more to come if/when there is a need.
that's all for today, folks. any questions, anything you want to discuss - let me know ⬇️
