Outdoor Weekend Warrior
This weekend, I want to challenge you to move your body outside for at least 20–30 minutes outside! Not for punishment. Not to “earn” your food. Not to burn calories. But because your body was designed to move, breathe deeply, and experience God’s creation. Whether it’s: • a walk around your neighborhood • a bike ride with your kids • stretching on the deck • a hike • gardening • rollerblading • a slow walk while listening to worship music …it all counts. Your Challenge: ✅ Spend at least 20–30 minutes moving outdoors ✅ Leave your phone in your pocket as much as possible ✅ Pay attention to how you feel mentally, emotionally, and physically afterward ✅ Share a photo or comment in the group when you finish! While you’re outside, reflect on this verse: “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” — Psalm 19:1 Sometimes the healthiest thing we can do is step outside, breathe fresh air, quiet the noise, and remember that we are cared for by a very good God.

A Home For Everything
Clutter doesn’t just affect your space — it affects your nervous system. Studies show that excess clutter can increase cortisol levels, leaving you feeling mentally overwhelmed, distracted, and emotionally heavy. One of the simplest ways to create more peace in your home and mind is through the “Home Rule”: everything needs a home. When we have too much stuff or no designated place for the things we own, chaos becomes the default. Creating systems that give your belongings a “home” brings more than organization — it creates calm. It reduces decision fatigue, supports a more regulated nervous system, and helps you feel lighter instead of constantly weighed down by visual and mental clutter. Sometimes the heaviness we feel isn’t just emotional exhaustion — it’s the accumulation of things, commitments, and thoughts that no longer have order or intention. So here’s your check-in: Where do you feel the heaviest right now — your calendar, your closet, or your thought life? What’s one thing in your life that feels out of place and needs a “home”?

Spring Cleaning Is About More Than Your House
One benefit of decluttering and spring cleaning that doesn't get talked about enough is how it affects your decision-making. Think about it: Every pile of papers you need to sort. Every overflowing closet you have to dig through. Every drawer packed with items you forgot you owned. They all require tiny decisions from your brain. What should I do with this? Where does this belong? Do I keep it or get rid of it? What should I wear? Which one should I use? Individually, these decisions seem insignificant. But over time, they add up and consume mental energy. When we simplify our spaces, we're not just creating a cleaner home—we're reducing unnecessary decisions. I've also noticed something else: Every time I declutter a space, I strengthen my ability to make decisions. I stop postponing. I stop avoiding. I practice choosing what stays and what goes. And that confidence often spills over into other areas of life. Sometimes spring cleaning isn't really about organizing a closet. It's about becoming the kind of person who can make intentional choices instead of living on autopilot. Do you notice a shift in how you make decisions after you've cleaned or decluttered? Let me know your thoughts!👇
