The AI acquisition stack I’d actually keep around
Every single week, a new deal-sourcing tool, acquisition framework, or automated outreach tactic drops into our feeds promising to help you buy a business overnight. The hard part isn't discovering them. It’s figuring out which ones actually earn a permanent spot in your daily operations instead of just collecting dust in your bookmarks—especially when you're trying to hunt down off-market deals, run data-driven lead generation, and land your first acquisition in 60 days. This is the lean stack I rely on to actually build pipeline and analyze deals: Apify: My go-to tool for heavy data extraction, web scraping, and pulling targeted target lists to fuel off-market lead generation. GoLogin: Essential for managing isolated browser profiles securely, keeping multi-account outreach clean, and avoiding friction during direct communication. n8n / Make: For wiring up backend pipeline automations and moving lead data seamlessly from scraping sources straight into your CRM. XAMPP & Local SQL: Where custom pipeline databases, financial evaluation sheets, and local environments are configured, tested, and fine-tuned. GoHighLevel (GHL): Essential for automating multi-touch outreach, follow-ups, and managing deal conversations on autopilot. Floment: Useful for organizing community engagement, sharing workflows, and keeping outreach systems structured in one place. The bigger lesson here is that stacking tools just because they are trending is a fast track to burnout. I’d rather find a real pipeline bottleneck → map out a clean AI-first search system → test the workflow → deploy it → and get qualified leads into the funnel. That’s a much better way to buy a business than chasing every shiny object on the internet. Hey everyone! I’m Emily Harper from the US, joining the community here at Searcher School. Seeing how this space focuses entirely on an AI-first, off-market search system to find and buy a small business (instead of relying on traditional, slow-moving broker lists) is incredible.

Tell us three things: Tell me: 1. Search method (self-funded, traditional, sponsor, etc) 2. Your buy box (be specific so I can refer you stuff I see!) 3. Your biggest pain point in searching. What’s the one thing I (and this group) can help you fix I'll respond to every single one. And read each other's intros too because the person who's stuck on the same problem as you might already be in this thread. I'll go first. 🔹 I'm Jed; an independent sponsor at Sunset Coast Partners focused exclusively on government contracting firms. 🔹 My buy box includes companies with a minimum 35% government contracted revenue (federal or state & local), $2M - $10M EBITDA, and preferably in aerospace, defense, precision manufacturing, or IT/cyber software. 🔹 My biggest pain point is raising capital in a GovCon environment where SBA affiliation rules prevent traditional capital. Simply put, the majority of acquisition money needs to come from me personally or a Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) fund. That's it. It's simple and gives you data on who's joining, what they're searching for, and keeps the feed clear for content that retains people past week one.

Intro : Ops and tech Nerd
Hey everyone, excited to join the community. I’m Florian, based in Arlington, VA. A little bit about me : Oxford MBA, former private equity associate, and currently a Principal PM at Amazon with extensive experience in operations. What I am looking for : I’m currently looking for a service business generating $300K to $600K in SDE within the DMV metro area. I’m specifically looking for companies with strong underlying demand but obvious operational bottlenecks where I can step in as an operator to streamline processes and scale. Where i need help : Finding Capital Partners How I Can Help the Group : Operations, financial modeling, deal evaluation, and tech enablement. I am always happy to pressure-test a deal or talk through operational due diligence with anyone who wants a second set of eyes. I also built a tool (AcquiPilot) to manage my own search process, happy to share more if useful.

Hello everyone! I am born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada and I have been in family business since I was 14. I started working in the field of our famliy landscape construction company which we built up and sold in 2006. It was a 300 employee company with 7 divisions which we sold to PE so I have experience on the sell side due dilligence, contract negotions, and post sale transitions. We started a fire truck refurbishment company after that, working for federal, municipal, foreign governments and contractors which we sold in 2021 to a strategic buyer. This company had 70 employees. I am looking to get back into entrepenuership but without the 2 year struggle of starting something brand new. Looking forward to learning from all of you.
