Welcome Post!
👋 Welcome to ROOTS & READS Learning Hub I’m so glad you’re here! ROOTS & READS Learning Hub is a supportive space for building the literacy and learning skills that help students thrive. This community is designed for: - Teachers running small groups or MTSS interventions - Paraprofessionals supporting classroom literacy and learning - Tutors helping students strengthen reading, focus, and learning strategies - Parents looking for practical ways to support reading and executive functioning at home 🧠 Our Mission Our goal is simple: to give students the tools they need to read, learn, and grow confidently—while giving educators, tutors, and parents the resources to guide them. We’ll start with our first launch course: Executive Functioning Made Simple (K–3), which focuses on skills like attention, working memory, impulse control, and emotional regulation—critical building blocks for literacy, learning, and life. As the hub grows, we’ll expand to include reading strategies, comprehension supports, and other literacy-focused courses—all designed to complement the executive functioning skills students are building. 💬 Introduce Yourself Drop a comment and share: - Your role (teacher, para, tutor, parent) - The age/grade of the students you’re supporting - One skill or reading goal you’re excited to work on I’m excited to support you as we help students read, learn, and grow with confidence. Welcome to the hub! 💛

🌿 Pardon the dust…
ROOTS & READS Learning Hub is still being built out, but I didn’t want to wait to open the doors—because the real value of this space is the people in it 💚 If you’re here early, you’re part of the foundation. This community is for parents, tutors, teachers, and interventionists who want simple, effective ways to support growing readers—without the overwhelm. Over the coming weeks, you’ll see: • lessons being added • tools and resources dropping in • real, usable teaching strategies ✨ I’d love to hear from you: What brought you here? Are you a parent, tutor, or teacher? And what’s your biggest challenge when it comes to helping a child learn to read? Drop it in the comments—I’m building this space with you in mind. — ROOTS & READS Learning Hub, Ms. Kara
