Dry fast for shamanic vision quest 🪶✨
Hello dearest Rooted & Wild Group, Hello Jenny,
Hope this finds you all well and rooted.
I wanted to share my experience, which is connected to my preparation for a shamanic vision quest over four years. Each year in July, I spend four days alone on a mountain without food or water, with my prayers. This weekend, I decided to experiment with 24-hour dry fast as part of my preparation, and I extended it to 48 hours with a little water, herbal tea, and fresh-pressed juice (celery, parsley, carrot, cucumber).
The fasting without water was very easy to follow to allow the body and organs to rest and heal.
I used to believe that the more water you drink, the easier fasting becomes, but I’m now realizing that during dry fasting, the body can produce metabolic water from the fat, and that drinking too much can actually strain the kidneys.
I wanted to ask you, Jenny, if you went straight into the 28-day challenge when you did the fruitarian experiment you mentioned. Does that include only drinking juices, or eating whole fruits as well?
I feel I still have some beliefs around sugar and the idea of eating only fruits.
Did you personally saw your diabetes markers improve even while eating fruits ?
I’ve been living a plant-based lifestyle for years now, but I still struggle for bread and chocolate 😅
What is your perspective on the balance between fruits and vegetables? And also on proteins?
Thank you so much for your work 👑 I’m really happy to be part of this group 🙏🏻
Your work feels very authentic and inspiring 🤩
Sending you much love from Switzerland 💜

🌿 Whole-food plant-based meals that slap. Tofu becomes ricotta, potatoes become ice cream & sad salads don't exist 🧚
