After creating the Wild Rose course and researching the plant I was desperate to get out and collect a good amount of petals, I will use some for my teas, and some to infuse into sweet almond oil, ready for a self-love roll on oil.
As you can see from the pictures now is the best time for the wild rose, the hedgerows were abundant with the delicate flowers.
I also collected red clover flowers and elderflowers ready for some tea combinations.
I may go and collect some more today as their season is brief, reminding us that seasons come and go, and to cherish the moment.
I also reflected on how despite the roses delicate and gentle petals, the shrub hosts some vicious thorns, while soft it also protects itself, it reminds us of our own vulnerability and femininity, it needs to come with firm boundaries and strength. Our peace should be protected โฎ๏ธ
