Your cosmic midyear review has arrived. Tonight's full moon has a name as beautiful as it is meaningful — the Strawberry Moon, named by indigenous Algonquin tribes to mark the season when wild strawberries ripen. It's a moon about honouring what is ready to be harvested in your life. And right now, under Capricorn's steady gaze, the universe is asking you a very direct question: What have you actually been building — and is it still what you want? 🌍 The science bit A full moon happens when the Earth sits between the Sun and Moon, and the Moon's face is fully illuminated. Tonight's is a micromoon — the Moon is near its furthest point from Earth, so it appears slightly smaller and softer in the sky than usual. Don't let that fool you though. The energy is still very much present. Look for it rising after sunset with a gorgeous golden glow — it may appear larger and more amber-toned on the horizon due to the atmosphere bending the light. Worth stepping outside for. ♑ The astrology — Full Moon in Capricorn The Sun is currently in Cancer — the sign of home, heart, and emotional nourishment. The full Moon sits directly opposite in Capricorn — the sign of structure, discipline, ambition, and long-term goals. This opposition creates a beautiful tension between how you feel and what you've built. Between the heart and the hustle. Capricorn energy is earthy, grounded, and no-nonsense. It doesn't deal in wishful thinking — it deals in evidence. So this full moon is essentially holding up a mirror and saying: look at your results. Not to shame you, but to show you the truth. There are some other big players in the sky right now worth noting: 🔁 Mercury stations retrograde TODAY — right alongside this full moon. This is a moment for reflection, not rushing into decisions. Review, revisit, reconsider before acting. 🌫️ Neptune is squaring this moon — which can blur the line between dreams and delusion. This is a nudge to be honest with yourself. This heatwave here in the UK has certainly felt extreme. We're just not a country that's really set up for these temperatures! One thing it has made me appreciate, though, is the life I've built. I've been able to slow down, listen to my body, and only do what's really necessary. We're lucky to have a big, mature birch tree in our garden that creates the most wonderful patch of shade for our family. The difference in temperature is incredible as soon as you step beneath its branches. It reminds me just how valuable our trees are—not just for wildlife, but for us too. I've attached some photos, before the sun rises above the tree. I've enjoyed the sunshine, but after a very hot night and not much sleep, I have to admit... I'm quite looking forward to a drop in temperature! Over the past few days I've seen a few clients, worked on my Self-heal mini-course, read a few chapters of books, and even managed the occasional afternoon nap. I've been spending time with one of my favourite little plants: Self-Heal. You may have walked past it countless times without noticing it. Growing quietly amongst grasslands, meadows, lawns and hedgerows, it hugs the earth and asks us to slow down enough to see it. In the video, I explore some of the traditional medicinal uses of Self-Heal, including its use for wounds, sore throats, viral infections, liver support and thyroid health. But what fascinates me most about this humble plant is its deeper symbolism. As a flower essence, Self-Heal is associated with transformation, self-trust and becoming who we truly are. Not fixing. Not striving. Not becoming someone else. But gently shedding what no longer serves us and growing into who we were always meant to be. That feels beautifully aligned with what we're creating here in Rooted in Nature. A journey back to ourselves. A remembering. A becoming. 🌿✨ One of the things I love about Self-Heal is that many of us can find it growing nearby, wherever we are in the world. It grows throughout Britain and Ireland, across much of Europe, North America, Asia and parts of Australia and New Zealand, quietly supporting people through the centuries. It's not rare. It's not flashy. It's simply there, growing beneath our feet, offering its gifts to those who take the time to notice. And perhaps there is wisdom in that too. 🙏 Thank you to the wonderful women who joined me for the Summer Solstice Circle. I'm not going to lie, I was really nervous, first time running one, but they will get better the more I run. We reflected on what is flourishing in our lives, explored the meaning of the season, shared stories and honoured this turning point in the Wheel of the Year together.
