Here’s the truth:
  • You don’t need to starve, you need a small, smart deficit.
  • Protein is king — it keeps you full and protects your muscle.
  • Forget “good” vs “bad” foods. The 80/20 rule works long term.
  • Lifting weights 2–3x per week is non-negotiable if you want to keep your muscle while dieting.
  • Sleep and stress can make or break your progress more than you think.
And above all: it’s not about perfection. It’s about showing up consistently, making better choices most of the time, and building something you can sustain.
