Cold Weather rides
Given that I spend a fair portion of the year on studded tyres and in sub zero temperatures, I thought I’d start a little thread on people’s favourite tips and tricks for cold weather rides. Here’s a few of my favourite things: Barmitts - neoprene sleeves to go over your handlebars to keep your hands warm. I only need thin gloves inside these unless it gets down to about -10 as it did this morning; neoprene overshoes and winter boots (I even have some heated insoles for heavy subzero days; clothing wise I’ve found that the availability of clothing using polartec has been a game changer in terms of warmth.
Feel free to post any tips, ideas or ask any questions.
