ABS issue on Renault Megan 2012
good evening guys I want to share this is issue with you guys as we spoken about ABS issues on last live lesson . I had on my customer car last week all 4 wheels get dead blocked the car won’t drive unless I unplug one of the ABS SENSORS. making Abs module goes to error after few seconds the wheels brakes callipers gets released . The fault code is : PRESSURE SENSOR OFFSET PROGRAMMING PERMANENT. On live data/stream showing the sensor offset programming pressure is constant 0.8 bar . Without pressing brake paddle. After I did few diagnostics checking wires looking for any shorts to ground or to positive. But seems all good. Also I bled all four wheels and I put new brakes fluid but didn’t help. So I replaced the abs module and coded it with one from EBay . And fixed it 🥳 Hope this help some one in the future .

Came in with EML on and P040100 EGR insufficient flow. Found a TSB on DDTSB for this fault and gave some know good and bad readings to check at the EGR plug. Pin1 5v feed. Tested at 5v Pin2 should be 3.6v Tested at 12.3v Pin3 Ground Tested 0v Pin 4 empty Pin5 0.8v. Tested 0.6v Pin6 4.3v Tested 12.3v Bad EGR pin 2 0v Pin 5 0.6v Pin 5 tested the same as the bad data but its pin 2 & 6 as they are twisted so that indicates CAN lines to me. Also scoped and no waveforms at all Same voltage when it’s unplugged and when running Pin 6 goes with to whatever the battery is charging at. When left with ignition on engine off it will all by itself drop to around the correct voltages then spikes up to 12v again Code clears out and reading are still the same Pin 2 & 6 go to the motor according to Alldata Unfortunately customer had to take the van today but is rebooked for next week and my next step was to voltage drop test and load test the wires I suspect possibly a short to ground but any help/ advice would be appreciated as I could be scratching my head on this one!

1.5dci came in with no power, wouldn’t rev above 1500rpm, fault codes p2263 and p0106, with ignition on boost pressure matched atmospheric pressure, with engine running the boost pressure dropped, rev the engine it and it dropped more, looked under the bonnet with engine running and the boost pipe from intercooler to throttle body was sucked in, disconnected the pipe going into the intercooler and it was the same, removed the pipe after the intercooler and it revved fine, quick check of the inside of the intercooler with the borescope revealed this absolute mess. Obviously the intercooler being blocked is the cause of no power and the fault codes but it is a symptom of something else failed/failing. Question, what would be the next step to finding the cause of the inlet side of the intercooler blocking up with what looks to be soot or carbon?

RICH IS THE CODE
This vehicle (enhine: QG18) came in for running rough with serious misfires, especially on cylinder #1. The last shop threw spark plugs and coils on this Nissan vehicle, when they saw thatbthis didn't work. They mentioned to the client that they can have the injectors serviced which might solve the misfires issues. The car was then brought to us to diagnose. One of my team members used the live data on the scan tool to dive in deeper, seeing that parts were already replaced on this vehicle. He recalled that I mentioned to them to create a vacuum leak to create a lean command, this will let you know if the O2 sensor can be trusted if you have a rich condition. They saw that the ECU was trying to kill the injectors pulse time and proved some more. This is when they found the leaking fuel rail regulator. This is explains the misfires and rich condition. The rail was replaced and the car was sent on its way. Great find fellas. Let's Test-Not Guess
