This recipe is one serving - want to make more? Double or triple the amount!
Okay, okay, okay... I know this might not be what some would consider a treat meal, but I want you to change your way of thinking!
Hear me out - a classic treat meal, what does that look like in your mind? Cheeseburger and fries? Chicken Alfredo? Pizza? After dedicating a chunk of time to nourishing your body with foods it wants & needs, how do you think your tummy would accept that? I can tell you that in my own personal experience, it's not a good acceptance :(
When it comes to treat meals, YES, they should be delicious. But if it's something that causes inflammation, bloats you for days and takes you 3-4 days to get back to where you were, is it worth it?
My favourite treat meal? A juicy steak from my uncles farm along with air fried carrot fries!
Let's talk ground beef. Any recipe that we post with ground beef will call for tenderloin, which you can't typically purchase ground. A butcher should be able to grind it for you if you buy from them, or you can do it at home yourself with a meat grinder (I have one that attaches to my Kitchen Aid stand mixer).
Now, why do we not recommend conventional ground beef that you can buy from the store? The fat content.
