Not every battle starts around us.
Sometimes it starts within us — with one thought we keep feeding. One of the things I’m learning more deeply through Dr Caroline Leaf’s work is this: the mind is not the brain.
The mind thinks, feels and chooses. And what we keep thinking can begin shaping patterns in the brain and affecting the body too. That is why toxic thoughts matter. If I keep feeding fear, shame, offence, or hopelessness, not good enough, that thought grows roots.
But when I bring that thought into the light, submit it to God, and replace it with truth, something begins to change.
We do not have to keep watering the wrong tree.
“Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” — Romans 12:2
This is part of why I’m so excited about the work I’m learning.
And it’s why CORE matters — helping people notice the thought, create space, and respond differently.
