50 Sketch Prompts Just Dropped 🖍️ (and yes, you’re required to draw messy) 😉
Okay Squad, I made you something. 50 sketching prompt cards — sorted into 10 categories (Observe, Composition, People, Texture, Light & Shadow, Travel, Nature, Story, Practice, Mindset). Print them, cut them wonky, shuffle them, and pull one every morning. No thinking, no “which one is easiest,” just pull and draw. Here’s the thing though — this isn’t just a fun little challenge (even though it is one). Sketching is genuinely one of the best things you can do for your art, and there’s real science behind it: • Regular observational sketching sharpens your eye for proportion, light, and detail — and that skill carries over into everything else you make, painting included. • Sketching engages both sides of your brain at once — the logical side and the creative side — which is part of why it feels so good and clears your head. • Even one short session of art-making has been shown to boost people’s confidence in their own ability to actually finish and succeed at what they set out to make. So this isn’t “just doodling.” It’s foundational reps. Every fine artist you admire has thousands of ugly little sketches behind their good work — you’re just starting yours today. Here’s how we play: 1. Pull a card (or comment a number 1–50 and I’ll tell you what you got 👀) 2. Set a timer, draw for the suggested time — 5 to 25 min, no pressure 3. Post it here with your card number 4. Go look at what everyone else did with the SAME prompt — it’ll never be what you expect There is no wrong way to do this. A stick figure counts. A page you hate still counts. You showing up with a pen is the whole point. Who’s in? Help Each Other by Engaging on Instagram
Hi there! 😊 As an artist with a small Instagram account, I’ve found it really lovely to have a group of supportive and engaging followers. I’ve even noticed that strangers, mostly other artists, sometimes cheer louder than friends and family 🤪 Personally, my goal right now isn’t to grow a huge following (my profile has actually been private for a while), but I do really enjoy meaningful engagement and supporting others as well 😊 That’s why I’d love to invite you to drop your Instagram (name or link) below so we can follow each other, engage, and support one another 😊🙌 Mine is https://www.instagram.com/lizaglorius.art?igsh=MW5qZWk4eG1xNDlxNA%3D%3D&utm_source=qr

Help! We need a August challenge 😂🥴
Hey everyone! ❤️ Tomorrow is already August (Time Fly’s) which means it’s time for a new community challenge… but I’d love your input! Do you know a fun art challenge we could do together this month? Drop it below 👇🏼 I was also thinking about doing a 30-day drawing challenge using the prompt pack I created. Even if you only have 5–10 minutes a day, drawing is one of the best ways to improve your artistic skills. It never makes your art worse—only stronger. 💪🔥 https://www.skool.com/responsibly-messy-artists-8983/classroom/1334988e?md=fb924b1824624fc496ec986a5579d216 Since many of us are enjoying the holidays, juggling work, traveling, or keeping the kids entertained, I thought a short daily drawing prompt might be the perfect fit. Small, consistent practice can make a huge difference. Summer is a busy season. Don’t forget to take some time for yourself too. ❤️ A few reminders: 🎙️ A new podcast episode is out! You can find it in the Classroom. ☕ Coffee & Art is this Monday at 7:00 PM (Paris time). I’d love to see you there! For more details see the calander. Now tell me… what challenge should we do in August? Or September? I can’t wait to hear your ideas! 🎉 Enjoy the rest of your holiday, everyone! 🌞 (Foto from my exposition in Daglan France. You can still visit it till 2 Aug 🙂)
