Something I’ve been noticing while learning more about rental property is how much attention goes into getting a deal, but not nearly as much into running it properly once you’ve got it.
On paper, a deal can look solid. The numbers work, the area seems right, everything checks out. But in reality, it’s the day-to-day side that seems to make or break it managing tenants, handling maintenance, staying organised, and actually keeping the property profitable over time.
I’m starting to realise that the real skill isn’t just finding a good deal… it’s being able to operate it well long term.
Still early in my journey, but trying to learn this side properly from the start rather than figuring it out the hard way later.
