VPN Close Call at Work

Hey Everyone, thought I would share this to demonstrate a lot of these policies are don't ask don't tell.

I started using my VPN, since I had forgot one day and I haven't had an issue in over 6 months. However, today a new security team must be checking logs closer. They were able to see I was from an outside IP.

My manger knows I am overseas, but the new security team didn't, and it is always best to not draw attention to yourself. They honestly don't care, but triggering alerts makes more work for them, and might put them in a tough position if higher ups decide to be more strict.

Close call.. Definitely using my VPN from now on.
