Yes, I said it. Yesterday, when I took a bird's eye view of my week's agenda and saw that I had FOUR events booked, I said it. "Who's the idiot who booked that many events in one WEEK?!" Answer - me. The idiot is me. Because September 30th here in Canada is the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, a day set aside to recognize and remember what this country did to its most vulnerable (in the words of the late, amazing Senator Murray Sinclair). As a result, people like me are in high demand. So is this week's schedule insane? Absolutely. Would I do this every week? No. Burnout is real. But will I do it this week? Yes, and every September. Such is a life of service. Such is the life of someone trying to make a difference. Rise up when you are needed, my speaker friend. Rest afterwards, after a job well done. You got this!
