A $1/month fix for recruiters drowning in resumes
Hey! every recruiter friend I know is stuck on the same thing. They get 50+ resumes a day and have to type each candidate's name, email, and skills into a spreadsheet by hand. I figured out a fix last weekend for under $1/month: 1. In Gmail, set a filter so resumes get auto-labeled "resumes". 2. Install n8n on your computer (a free tool that connects your apps). 3. In n8n, connect Gmail to ChatGPT to Google Sheets. ChatGPT pulls each candidate's name, email, phone, job title, years of experience, and skills. Every resume now shows up as a clean row in your sheet. Costs about 40 cents a month. Hope this gives someone their afternoons back 🙏

Starting a sales call with a hiring manager
If you've wondered how to nail the first few minutes of a call with a prospective recruiting client, I think you'll get a lot of value from this video! In this episode, I break down the first 3 minutes of a hiring manager call: the Opening and Connection. The rapport skills that made you a great corporate recruiter are likely the same skills breaking rapport on your hiring manager calls. Not because the skills are wrong. Because they were built on the wrong side of the table. You'll learn: The frame shift that separates peers from vendors Why candidate rapport and hiring manager rapport are not the same skill The 3-step opening you can run on any hiring manager call Step 1: The greeting and LinkedIn reference Step 2: Set the frame for the call Step 3: Ask what they want covered By the end, you'll know exactly how to open a hiring manager call so you come out of it sounding like a peer, not a vendor.
