Pack for Day 3, Not Day 1
Day 1 - You’re fresh, organised, and suspiciously optimistic. Day 3 is where reality shows up.
When packing, ask yourself:
• Will I still want to carry this when I’m tired?
•Will I still need this when things are damp, messy, and morale is low?
•Can this item do more than one job?
Focus on:
🌿Reliable basics over “nice-to-haves”
🌿Lightweight, multi-use gear
🌿Easy access to essentials when you’re low on energy
Because by Day 3, no one cares how clever your packing system is. You care about warmth, food, and not hating your bag.
Old-school rule: if in doubt, simplify.
Mini challenge:
Lay your kit out and remove 3 non-essential items before your next trip. You won’t miss them & your shoulders will thank you
