Natural Navigation 🧭
Sharing a wee resource with you all this morning on natural navigation; in particular, using the sun to find directions.
Having the ability to find out the cardinal points when outdoors is very beneficial and this is just 1 way of using natural navigation. I may turn this into a series 🤔.
Place a stick in the ground and watch a shadow appear. Place a rock at the tip of this shadow and it will be the approximate West. Wait 10-15 mins and place a rock at the tip of the shadow, which should now have moved - this is East.
We now have our West - East line. To find North, stand with your left foot at West and right foot at East and you'll be facing North.
