Do real estate leads go cold if responses aren’t fast enough?
Hi everyone, I wanted to ask something based on a pattern I’ve been noticing.
Over the past few days, I reached out to multiple real estate agencies through email and WhatsApp with genuine enquiries. In many cases, the messages weren’t even seen, and in others there was no reply for hours or days.
That made me think from a buyer’s point of view.
If I’m seriously looking to buy or invest in property, I’m usually reaching out to more than one agent or agency at the same time. And naturally, I end up continuing the conversation with whoever responds first or follows up properly. If I don’t hear back quickly, I just move on to someone else.
So I’m curious to hear from people actually in real estate:
- Do you think slow or missed responses cause leads to quietly disappear?
- Have you ever realized later that a deal was lost simply because the follow-up was late?
- Do you feel confident that every enquiry is seen and handled promptly, even after hours?
It also feels like losing one enquiry isn’t just losing one deal — it could be referrals, repeat business, or long-term value lost as well.
Would love to hear real experiences from agents and brokers here.
