Whats up ya'll – the last couple of weeks I had to hire editors because our workload got crazy. We had so good (and bad) things result from this & I just want to share it with you quickly.
- Giving footage to an editor with no direction can be hit or miss. Try your best to explain clearly with references what you are looking for
- Ask them to send you the first 15 - 30sec of the video to make sure you are aligned. This saved me hours on the back end.
- If you can't give a clear vision - make the revision process plain by giving them your top adjustments/tweaks. its better to get an important 6 changes out the way vs 72 changes that rebuild the whole video
Have any of you hired a new editor to edit something for you? What insights can you add?
