The nervous system isn’t being explained properly
Why your body won’t heal if your Shen is still on alert Most people try to fix symptoms without addressing the state of the nervous system. In TCM terms, when the Shen is unsettled, everything becomes harder: - sleep - digestion - emotional regulation - pain perception You don’t have a “symptom problem” You have a state problem Try this today: Place your attention at the base of your skull for 30 seconds Slow your breath Notice what your body does when it is not being chased Then ask: “What am I still bracing for?! What is your body doing that your mind keeps ignoring? I’m curious. When your body is stressed, where does it show up first? - jaw - chest - gut - head - sleep disruption - energy crash There’s always a pattern before the symptom. Drop yours below and I’ll reply from a TCM perspective.

The Tao of Returning Home
The greatest suffering of the human being is forgetting that we belong. We have forgotten that we are not separate from the rivers, the forests, the stars, the seasons. We have forgotten that our own inner landscape moves according to the same rhythms as the natural world. Winter teaches us stillness. Rest. Listen. Return inward. Spring teaches us movement. What is ready to grow? What is ready to be released? Summer teaches us connection. The Fire element reminds us: The purpose of life is not merely to survive. It is to love. To radiate. To share our warmth. Late summer teaches us nourishment. The Earth element asks: Can you receive? Can you digest your experiences? Can you transform what life gives you into wisdom? Autumn teaches us surrender. The Metal element invites us to release what no longer belongs. Every season has its medicine. Every emotion carries information. Every imbalance is an invitation to return to harmony. The sage does not fight the river. The sage learns its currents. The awakened human being is not someone who has escaped the cycles of life. They have learned to dance with them. They know when to act and when to wait. When to speak and when to listen. When to hold on and when to let go. Qi flows where resistance softens. So soften. Return to the breath. Return to the Earth. Return to the mystery moving through you. You are not a human being trying to find harmony with nature. You are nature, briefly remembering itself as human. Walk gently. Listen deeply. And allow the Tao to reveal the way.
