Welcome To the Queer & Unfiltered Community
If you're here, it means that you're prepared to live, learn, heal, and develop without regret. It's a place for truth, healing, and an unapologetic queer existence. This is a place for all LGBTQIA+ individuals, particularly Africans and people of African descent, who are sick of minimizing their identities to survive. The three pillars of this community are freedom, representation, and visibility. I want this community to be a safe place to talk, a support system, a place to learn and grow, a movement for freedom and visibility, and a home. Charles.
Your Life Is Yours
Not from society, not from religion, not from anyone else do I look for approval for being gay and living my life. If some people think I'm a sinner and going to hell, that's their problem, not mine. I am not going to spend my life being small, sorry, or pleading for permission to exist. I am happy with who I am, I live honestly, I don't hurt anyone, and I walk in truth. If you're queer and reading this, you don't have to explain yourself, get approval, or be allowed to live your life without any shame. Your life is yours, so claim it fully. I appreciate your being a part of this community, which is based on honesty, openness, and freedom. Charles

Choose Peace
As queer people, we don't need everyone to be on this journey with us, and that's okay. In life, nothing lasts forever. Friendships end, relationships end, and people we love die. Knowing who you are and living in truth are what matters. Without hiding, denying, or hurting anyone, I live with peace of mind. In my spirit, I know that my ancestors agree with me that I am walking through this world with honesty and kindness. I believe they guide and protect me. Additionally, the unconditional love that I received from both of my deceased parents remains with me. I'm still holding on to that love. If you are on this path, choose peace. It will last longer than approval. Charles

Stay Safe
Homophobia is deadly and not just an opinion. To all queer Africans who are reading this: your safety is of greater importance than proving a point. Take care to protect your peace and choose survival in areas where visibility is not a safe option. You deserve to love, live, and exist without being afraid. Stay safe and watch out for each other. We Are Still Winning And Making Progress
I've been bullied because I'm gay, had life threats made against me, and been attacked just for existing and telling the truth. Keep in mind this important fact: we are not weak or losing if I can handle all this hate and still show up, speak out, and keep building. Don’t let mean, hateful, and angry people make you feel small, and don’t let anyone tell you that your life, your identity, or your happiness are less significant. We are not a mistake, and our visibility is not a crime. No amount of hate can erase who we are. Thank you for your unwavering support. I am grateful for your decision to embrace truth, courage, and freedom. We are still winning and making progress. Charles
