VS CODE CLAUDE CODE EXTENSION BUG

Hello There, I noticed a strange bug into claude code extension in the Vs Code so I want you to check it too and tell me if you see the same bug as well.

In the VS Code Claude Code Extension (NOT terminal)

press /switch and put sonnet 4.6 and ask claude which model it is.

Mine says Claude Opus 4.6 so obviously it's a bug that costs tokens a lot, and these days I even contacted to anthropic because it was extremely costly for sonnet 4.6

Try that and tell me what's the answer of it.

P.S in the terminal it correctly answers sonnet 4.6 so its safe there.
