I saw @Carla Wright post about known while becoming and she was talking about solo parenting. Let me tell you about my own solo parenting. The true is, I feel like I have never really been parent. I gave birth to my daughter as a student and I had to go back to school. She first stayed with grandma, later my mom and when I finished high school, I didn’t go to college/ university so I started hustling. When I left uganda and came to Saudi Arabia and I got her from village and brought her to live with my sister in-law in the city. My village has bad influence and most young girls don't go past primary school. They either get married or pregnant. I didn’t want that for my daughter. Though we have a close relationship. We talked about hygiene, puberty and when she started her periods, she told me, when she had a crush at school, she told me and we talked about. Sometimes I feel like horrible mother because I don't really know my child, but now I have decided that I need to go back and we build a close relationship. One thing I'm really proud, I was able to take her to a good school and now she has a different mindset.
