My daughter seat for mock exams last term and she got 8 aggregates. That's a strong first grade as per the ugandan standard. I know she still has her final exams, but I bought her a few gifts to motivate her to reader even harder for her final exams. I remember in my primary mocks I got 13 aggregates which is second grade. I feel so proud of her. I was never gifted for performing well, so I developed this culture of gifting my daughter everytime she performs well and she has never disappointed me.
She has promo on 17th/10/26, I already got her a dress and shoes. I want her to experience all the wonderful experiences I never experienced while growing up and become a woman.
I saw a parent on tiktok a few days ago saying ugandan parents we are not supposed to celebrate our children's best performance because that's not skill. It's just best performance. I feel like that's a foundation and now I'm thinking of talking her to learn baking since she has interest in baking. She's 13 making 14 in October 30th. They grow so fast. It's like you give birth and before you blink twice, they're grown.
