I’m heading into work this morning and it dawned on me that I don’t have the Monday blues. You know that awful feeling of dread you get when you’re heading into work. As I ponder and reflect I realize it’s because both IRL and online I enjoy what I get to do. Certainly not all aspects (e.g. inventory counts can be a bit of a bore) but the bulk of what I do gives me life. Three contributing factors I think are 1. Mindset- I’ve chosen to enjoy my work. I’ve trained myself to look for things to be grateful for rather than all that is wrong. 2. I’m planted in healthy soil. After decades of working just for money in toxic environments, I’m finally in a very healthy environment with others who are seeking to grow. 3. My work is purpose and meaning filled. Both IRL and online I’m seeking to help people meet and exceed their potential spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically, and financially. Even if I won the lottery today and never needed to work again I’d still like to do what I do. Do you still suffer from the Monday blues? If so, what steps can you take to make Monday a day you look forward to?
