I’m heading into work this morning and it dawned on me that I don’t have the Monday blues. You know that awful feeling of dread you get when you’re heading into work.
As I ponder and reflect I realize it’s because both IRL and online I enjoy what I get to do. Certainly not all aspects (e.g. inventory counts can be a bit of a bore) but the bulk of what I do gives me life.
Three contributing factors I think are
- Mindset- I’ve chosen to enjoy my work. I’ve trained myself to look for things to be grateful for rather than all that is wrong.
- I’m planted in healthy soil. After decades of working just for money in toxic environments, I’m finally in a very healthy environment with others who are seeking to grow.
- My work is purpose and meaning filled. Both IRL and online I’m seeking to help people meet and exceed their potential spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically, and financially. Even if I won the lottery today and never needed to work again I’d still like to do what I do.
Do you still suffer from the Monday blues? If so, what steps can you take to make Monday a day you look forward to?
