April Fools!
Yes, today is April Fools Day, which automatically makes nearly every interaction suspect. My family will occasionally play a mild prank, but most of us are on our toes and catch onto things pretty quickly. But I'm always concerned about those who may take things too far. So this is my gentle reminder to think before acting. My rule of thumb is to remember that something is a PRANK only if everyone involved finds it funny - especially the target(s). Once there is harm of any kind - physical, financial, psychological, emotional, you know you've gone too far. Then you're into BULLYING territory. Too often I see videos professing to show funny pranks that involved things like smashing a bride's face into a cake (often specifically after she set a boundary), making someone trip over an invisible/hard to see barrier, or tricking someone into eating something they are allergic to. These types of actions cross the line not only into bullying but possibly assault and/or battery. Don't get me wrong - pranks can be a lot of fun. But knowing your audience and reading the room first? That's the actual adulting skill here. Most of you already know this. But it's worth the reminder. <stepping down from my soapbox> Carry on and have fun!

Introducing "We Wednesday" - We're doing this together, not alone!
I was trying to figure out what to post today about "We Wednesday," and had a few options. But sometimes the universe makes other plans, which happened in this case. This video came across my Facebook feed, and I loved that someone else is working toward the same goal - empowering our young people to know how to do the things they need to do. In this case, it's King Randall, who started a free boarding school in Georgia and teaches boys how to do the everyday things they need to know about, including the things that are typically done by girls. Within the lessons, he peppers other important tips about how to show up in your relationships, how to apply the math that you learned, and generally how to problem solve. There are things in the lessons that I might frame differently - but that's okay, because life doesn't have a single answer, and we all have different lived experiences. I will only add that girls need to learn this same information, and when showing up in your relationships, we should help each other as much as we can! Watch it here - Boys should know how to do laundry and then drop a comment below to let me know what you think!

Show me your Monday morning energy in a GIF. 😄 No judgment — we're all somewhere on the spectrum between 'ready to conquer the world' and 'please don't talk to me yet.' Drop yours below and let's see where the Fellowship lands today.
So much of our stress comes from focusing on things we can't control
I saw this graphic on LinkedIn this morning, and it stopped me mid-scroll. How many of these things are a source of stress for you? 😰 What's happening around you 👥 What other people think of you 📊 How people are "rating" your work 🪞 How other people take care of themselves ⏪ Things that have already happened 😟 Things that might happen 👀 What other people are doing 🗣️ Other people's opinions Those are things that drain us, but our real power lives in what we CAN control. 🚧 Our boundaries 🧠 Our thoughts and actions 🎯 The goals we set ⚡ What we choose to give our energy to 💗 How we speak to ourselves 🏔️ How we handle challenges Mental health isn't just about managing hard moments - it's about where we choose to focus our attention, every day. When we redirect that energy inward, something shifts. The noise quiets, and we feel more grounded, more capable, more at peace. 🔁 I'll save this graphic to the classroom so you can download it and review it the next time you feel overwhelmed. 💬 What's one thing you're choosing to focus on today that's fully in your control? Drop it in the comments — let's hold each other accountable. 👇

Self-Care Week: January Edition
January can be a challenging month. The holidays are over. Motivation is supposed to be high, but energy is often low. The days are short, routines are shifting, and many of us are already judging ourselves on our progress toward the goals we just set. So, let's make this week "Self-Care Week!" If you can relate to the sentiments above, it may be time to focus on energy conservation, not full-speed-ahead self-improvement. Instead of "doing more," consider: - Protecting your energy - Creating stability - Reducing decision fatigue How? Give yourself permission and pick ONE non-negotiable daily anchor. That could be - Waking up at the same time every day - Eating the same breakfast - Taking the same 5-minute walk - Following the same waking-up or winding-down routine Keep it intentionally boring and easily repeatable. And let that one thing be "enough" for a successful day. Don't be hard on yourself. Give yourself an easy win to celebrate. What will be your easy win?
