Happy Mother's Day, Moms!!
To every mom in this community, whether your kids are little or grown, whether you're in the thick of diapers and sleepless nights or watching your adult child navigate life on their own: today is yours. You are doing something that nobody hands you a manual for. You're the one who remembers every allergy, every appointment, every little fear your kid has never said out loud. You're the one who shows up at the school play and the late-night phone call and every ordinary Tuesday in between. You're teaching kindness, resilience, and how to be a decent human, mostly by just being one yourself. That stuff matters. More than you probably give yourself credit for. Here's what I want you to sit with today: the fact that you keep showing up, even on the hard days, says everything. So take a breath. Eat something you actually like. Let someone else do the dishes. You've earned it. And yes, if your babies have four legs and a tail, this includes you, too. Happy Mother's Day. With love from your Wayfinder, Jennifer (the purple one)

Body Doubling
Has any here heard of body doubling? I am not that familiar with it. But if I understand it correctly, it is where 2 or more people work "next" to each other, although not neccessarily on the same task. Here is what google says on the topic: ADHD body doubling is a productivity strategy where another person is present—in-person or virtually—while an individual with ADHD works on tasks. This technique helps anchor attention, increase accountability, and reduce distraction, making it easier to start and complete boring or overwhelming tasks. It acts as a form of "grown-up parallel play" to help manage focus. (There was more to the response but if I posted it, you may not get far into reading, TLDR). Although I don't have ADHD, I often lack motivation and/or discipline to work like I should or need to grow my business that is much needed. This is all to say, does anyone want to be my accountability buddy? I did this 25 yrs ago before I ever heard that term to work with people all over country to get housework done. It was wonderful.

Which AI tool(s) do you use, and why?
I know that using AI is a controversial topic these days. AI is known to use a lot of environmental resources (esp. water), which is a definite concern. AI companies are also working toward solutions, such as recycled water cooling systems. My view is that AI is here to stay, and if we want to stay competitive in the working world, we need to know how to use it, whether we choose to leverage it a lot, a little, or not at all. There are so many AI tools out there right now, and we all use them in so many different ways. I use AI to generate images. I don't have any artistic ability at all, and as a small business owner, I don't have the ability to pay someone to create art. I also need it quickly. So you'll see AI generate images on this site as well as in my courses. Most of the time, I'm using Gemini to generate my images because when I started, Gemini produced the style I was looking for, and it makes sense to continue using Gemini to get the same style. However, I find that Gemini has a lot of issues with "direction." For example, Gemini produce an image of the Wayfinder, but showed her writing with her right hand (I'm a lefty!). Try as I might, I could not get Gemini to change the image to left-handed. So I tried ChatGPT and asked to replicate the exact image but change the person to left-handed. ChatGPT got it in one try with a perfect reproduction. It is fair to note that ChatGPT released Images 2.0 in April, which was a major upgrade, so it seems to be the current frontrunner. I use Claude for most of my other work - business planning, course development, etc. I like that Claude organizes discussions by project, so I can separate different conversations and not have content bleed from one chat to another. Claude is the AI I pay for. I also use both Gemini and ChatGPT when I hit usage limits and still have work to do. 🙌 So how are YOU using your AI tools to save time, learn, and create? 🙌 And more importantly - have you named your AI? (I haven't named mine... yet) ✍️📝
