Debut niche nonfiction book live on KDP, stuck at zero reviews — seeking compliant launch strategies
Hi everyone, I’m A.x. Hale, happy to join the community. I’m brand-new to KDP self-publishing. I released my first nonfiction eBook, Fueling the Night Shift, on July 30, 2026. This book delivers tailored nutrition guidance exclusively for night shift workers, focusing on midnight sugar cravings, disrupted hunger hormones and sustainable shift-work eating habits. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0HC52ZHYT Since launch, I’m seeing zero organic traffic, zero sales, and most importantly, zero reviews. Without any social proof, conversion is nearly impossible. I don’t have an existing email audience, and I’ve started building organic content on Pinterest and X to connect with my target readers, but progress is very slow. I want to stick strictly to Amazon’s TOS and avoid risky tactics that lead to removed reviews or account penalties. I’m curious to hear from other authors publishing tight niche nonfiction: What safe, long-term strategies did you use to land your first set of honest early reviews for a brand-new release with no pre-built audience? Are there specific ARC workflows or reader outreach approaches you found most effective for shift-worker / wellness niches? Thank you all for any insights you can share.

Meta Ads for US Amazon Reviews? (High-Content)
Is anyone here from the US who has experience using Meta Ads to find ARC/beta readers in order to get Amazon reviews? I’d love to connect and exchange ideas, as I’m based in Germany. To clarify: this is for high-content (non-fiction / guidebooks), not low-content.
ISBN
Hi everyone, I’ve almost finished a book using PublishFlow, and now I’m at the stage of purchasing an ISBN—the process on the Austrian platform is set up a bit differently than on the German platform. Could you please help me figure out what the best practice is? I definitely don’t want to use my real name as the publisher, except in the imprint. Can I just choose any name I want? According to the guidelines, it doesn’t seem like I can. Can I use different names for different books? How do you guys handle this? Thanks a lot, Best regards, Markus

Free Promotion on KDP
I recently did a 5 day free Kindle book promotion for a newly published book and got 41 sales. Zero royalties obviously. But whats really bothering me is that over forty people downloaded a free book and not one left a review. This was my first free promotion so I don't have anything else to go on. Is this a normal experience, can others tell me of their experiences with free promotions? Is it worth is or not?
Which tools do you use for your apps?
@Andrey Bernhart In your YouTube videos (which are super amazing, by the way thanks for sharing!), you talk about building bonuses in your KDP books like apps. May I ask which tools you use to build them? @everyone
