Hi Friends! I'm giving a talk on July 13 about my 7 years living, working, and traveling abroad. It's going to be my first time speaking publicly about the metaphysical part of my journey, about how I had no idea when I set foot on that plane 7 years ago that what I was really stepping into was fulfilling my childhood dream of growing up to travel around the world, learning about the real-world equivalent of magic. It's also a story about deconstructing my life and rebuilding it into the life I actually wanted to live, all while living in 6 countries, traveling to all 7 continents, and checking everything off my bucket list by the age of 36. Hi! In the Basics Spirit Guides class I talked about my guides using the song "Pink Pony Club" as a message that I hadn't figured out yet and I mistakenly and offensively made a joke that I thought the song was about going to be a stripper (exotic dancer) and that I wasn't planning on it. HOWEVER... I've since done some research and found out that the song was written about embracing Queer & LGBTQ+ Culture and feeling seen and supported for the first time and, though I do not identify as LGBTQ+, I am so grateful for my team using this song to remind me to step into the places that make me feel seen and supported in my own journey with self discovery. I apologize if my flippancy about the song was offensive to anyone.
